HEL Performance (UK)

HEL-Performance® 4-Piston Radial Brake Caliper (1 Pair) (INTRODUCTORY PRICE)

HEL Performance brake calipers are available with a MotoGP-inspired nickel coating. Each caliper is equipped with 2 pad retaining pins. To replace the brake pads, simply unscrew the pins briefly and swap out the pads. The calipers should be blown out with air before reinstallation to ensure that the internal surfaces are clean. Separate bleed nipples ensure that the bleed point is located at the highest possible point on the caliper. Our brake calipers also feature a complete, circumferential fluid path. This means that fluid flows in a complete loop through the brake caliper, making it easier to completely remove air from the system.

Our brake calipers weigh 715 grams (without pads) and are equipped with stainless steel pistons. Stainless steel acts as a heat sink, dissipating the heat generated by braking. The brake fluid heats up less. The boiling point of brake fluids varies depending on the type of fluid used. Storing the heat in the pistons instead of heating the fluid improves braking performance over a longer period—perfect for the track.

We manufacture our brake calipers exclusively on state-of-the-art CNC machines from solid 6082-T6 billet aluminum. Many mass-produced brake calipers are forged, but this limits their design possibilities. The forged parts must also be machined for threads and the internal flow path, as the forging process is unable to produce these details. We offer the very highest product quality. The finish is breathtaking, with every part machined to CNC precision. We maximize weight savings and minimize material consumption. Radial mounting of two-piece brake pads with two pads per caliper.

• 4-piston (32 mm) stainless steel brake caliper design.
• The caliper is made of solid 6082-T6 aluminum.
• High-temperature seals.
• Radial mounts available in 100 mm, 108 mm, and NOW also in 130 mm for most modern motorcycles.
• The kit includes an instruction manual with all the information regarding installation, bleeding, maintenance, and more.
• with spacers

The calipers are designed to accommodate stock brake pads for well-known supersport motorcycles. This gives you a wide selection of brake pads from nearly all manufacturers and suppliers. We currently offer EBC FA390 brake pads as an option. In our extensive testing with renowned top riders on various race tracks in Spain and England, as well as in street use, these pads have delivered outstanding performance and results. The EP pad compound has ABE certification; the GPX pad compound is a pure racing compound without ABE certification. Comparable brake pad types for: SBS = 809, DP = DP950, Vesrah = VD-170, Ferodo = FDB2181, CL-Brakes = 1134 (Source: SBS.dk), TRW = MCB755 (Source: trwmoto.com)

Technical Information:

• Brake caliper with 100mm bolt pattern = 30mm offset

HEL-Performance® 2-piston CNC brake caliper, axial, 64 mm bore spacing, 2 x 30 mm stainless steel pistons

The rear brake caliper from HEL Performance is equipped with 1 pad retaining pin. To replace the brake pads, simply unscrew this pin briefly and replace the pads. The calipers should be blown out with air before reinstallation to ensure that the internal surfaces are clean. Separate bleed nipples ensure that the bleed point is located at the highest possible point on the caliper. Our brake calipers also feature a complete, circumferential fluid path. This means that a complete loop runs through the brake caliper, making it easier to completely remove air from the system.

Our brake calipers weigh approximately 420 grams (without pads and retaining pin) and are equipped with stainless steel pistons. HEL-Performance® Rear Brake Master Cylinder, 13mm Piston Diameter!

We’re continuing to move forward with new products from HEL Performance.
Next, we’re introducing the new brake master cylinder for the rear wheel.

It is available in two variants and versions:
a) 13mm piston diameter, black anodized housing
b) 13mm piston diameter, nickel-plated housing

c) 13mm piston diameter, black anodized housing, 2 x M10x1.00 connections for use with, e.g., a thumb brake
d) 13 mm piston diameter, nickel-plated housing, 2 x M10x1.00 connections for use with, for example, a thumb brake

HEL-Performance® Combined Rear Brake Pump, 13mm Piston Diameter!

The combination brake pump for the rear wheel was developed so that a pump on the handlebars (whether thumb brake or pull brake) can be used in conjunction with the foot brake for the rear wheel. This is often required by the rules. In such cases, the foot brake must remain in place. However, an additional hand-operated brake pump is permitted.

The new combination brake pump has two connections:
            A) M12x1.00 thread for the handlebar-mounted pump (e.g., thumb brake pump)
            B) M10x1.00 thread for the line leading to the rear brake caliper

So how does it work?
Quite simply, the pump on the handlebars can be operated as long as the combined brake pump is not pressed.
The pressure is routed directly through the combination brake pump to the rear brake caliper.

However, when the handlebar pump is pressed, the combined brake pump can also be actuated.
In principle, the two pumps are arranged in series.

If the combined brake pump is pressed, you can press the handlebar pump as much as you want. Nothing happens because the inlet (M12x1.00) is “sealed off” by the piston in the combined brake pump.

HEL-Performance®thumb brake pump TB-1
(Article is discontinued. Successor is the new thumb brake pump MK-II, handlebar mounting)

We are continuing with new products from HEL Performance.
Next up is the new radial thumb brake pump.

• The TB-1 is both tricky and ingenious.
• The many adjustment options should leave nothing to be desired in terms of customization.
• The clamp is aligned in the desired position and attached to the fork.
(NOTE: The clamp does not have a joint as shown, but is a one-piece clamp.
The fork or triple clamp must be loosened accordingly for installation).
• The lever distance can be conveniently adjusted at any time as with the radial brake pump (adjustment wheel)
• The lever has a joint that can be used to position the end of the lever higher or lower.
• In addition, the end of the lever is in two parts. This allows you to adjust the length of the lever yourself.

Thumbs, what more could you want !!! ?? !!

It is available in two versions:
a) 13mm piston diameter, nickel-plated housing
b) 13mm piston diameter, black anodized housing

The lever itself is always supplied in black anodized.

The clamp (one-piece, without joint) for attachment to the fork can be selected in the following sizes/diameters,
and at no extra charge when ordering:

40 mm, 41 mm, 42 mm, 43 mm, 44 mm, 45 mm, 46 mm, 47 mm, 48 mm, 49 mm,
50 mm, 51 mm, 52 mm, 53 mm, 53.5 mm, 54 mm, 55 mm, 56 mm, 57 mm, 58 mm

HEL-Performance® Handlebar Brake Pump PB-1 (Pullbrake) 10mm Piston Diameter

We’re continuing to move forward with new products from HEL Performance.
Next, we’re introducing the new handlebar brake pump.
It’s also sometimes called a “scooter brake” or, in English, a “pullbrake.”

• The PB-1 is already all the rage in some circles
• The pump comes with a handlebar clamp that allows you to adjust the pump’s position to suit your personal needs.
• The clamp is attached directly to the handlebar
• The lever spacing can be easily adjusted at any time, just like with a radial brake pump (adjustment wheel)

Wheelie and slide control made easy!! ?? !!

It is currently available with 10 mm, 11 mm, or 13 mm piston diameters
The housing, lever, and clamp are black anodized
